Three Ways To Install
GOVEE OUTDOOR PERMANENT LIGHTS PRO
Every home is different. Pick the installation that fits your roofline, your budget and the look you're after.

Standard Installation
Each Govee light is mounted directly on your fascia board and secured with two staples on each side.
- Your roof has an existing fascia board
- You're looking for the most budget-friendly option
- You like the visible bulb effect

Wooden Slats
Custom-cut, color-matched wooden slats installed under your eaves with Govee lights mounted directly on top.
- Your roof does not have a fascia board
- You want a specific illumination shape on the wall
- You want the lights hidden under the eaves

Aluminum Permanent Track
Govee lights installed inside a color-matched aluminum track for the cleanest install possible.
- You want to increase your home's value
- You want extended light lifespan
- You want a clean, discreet look during the day
The distance from the wall matters
The distance between the lights and the wall determines the shape of the illumination on the wall.
The wooden slat and aluminum track options let you choose the distance, and the illumination, you want. Standard installs follow whatever spacing your fascia already has.

WHY DO WE INSTALL A POWER BOX AT EVERY JOB?
The difference between an install that lasts a decade and one that fails in a year often comes down to one component nobody else talks about: the power adapter. Here's how we protect it, and you.
01. The adapter is only IP65
The Govee lights themselves are rated IP67, fully weatherproof. But the power adapter that drives them is only IP65, which is not truly weather-resistant. Left exposed to rain and sun, it degrades fast and takes your lights down with it.
02. It runs dangerously hot
The adapter heats to extreme temperatures while the lights are on. Most installers screw it straight into the fascia wood, which is exactly where that heat becomes a real fire hazard over time.
03. Reaching it is the problem
Most installers mount the adapter up on the roof. So when Govee glitches, and the simple fix is holding the adapter button for 10 seconds to reset it, you can't reach it. You'd have to call the installer, and hope they pick up.

Every Phoraa installation includes a color-matched, waterproof electrical power box, mounted within your reach and wired through color-matched conduit. It protects your lights, your home, and your ability to reset the system yourself.
A color-matched, waterproof electrical power box houses the adapter, keeping it dry and protected for the life of the system.
The box is mounted at a reachable distance, not on the roof, so a 10-second reset is something you can do yourself, anytime.
All wiring is run inside color-matched conduit, so nothing is exposed and the installation looks clean and intentional.
By isolating the hot adapter away from wood, the box removes the fire risk that a bare adapter nailed to the fascia creates.

Our install: color-matched waterproof box, conduit-wired and mounted within reach.

FAQs in Livermore
Yes, we are fully insured for your peace of mind. We carry $2,000,000 in general liability insurance, and every technician is covered by workers' compensation. All of our vehicles are also fully insured, ensuring complete protection for your property and our team at all times.
You can, but you don't have to. We're a Govee partner and can supply the lights directly, or we'll install lights you already own. Either way, the installation price stays the same.
Sometimes, it depends on your roofline. The sets sold at Costco are the Govee Outdoor Lights Elite, an older generation than the Permanent Outdoor Lights Pro we install. The Elite line is dimmer, less durable, and far less flexible to work with. The biggest limitation is that Elite strands can't be spliced, so any break in your roofline can't be bridged with a jump cable, which leaves gaps and an installation that simply doesn't look professional. Some installers make their own jump cables, but we don't recommend it: it voids the warranty and, in our experience, causes problems down the road. That said, if your home has one continuous run with no breaks in the roofline, Elite lights can be installed and still look great. We'll take a look at your roofline and let you know honestly, and if breaks are involved, we'll recommend returning the Elite set for the Govee Pro, which can be spliced for a clean, seamless result.
Standard and wooden-slat installs usually take 1-2 days. Aluminum track systems take 3-4 days depending on the size of the home and the complexity of the rooflines, since each track is custom-cut and color-matched to your house.
These systems are designed so that a single puck never fails on its own, if something goes out, it's the string section it belongs to, and that section is simply swapped out. Your installation is backed by our 1-year full satisfaction guarantee, and Govee's own manufacturer warranty covers the hardware, which we file and handle on your behalf. In our experience nearly every issue shows up within the first year, and we take care of those within 7 business days. Once the warranty period ends, a replacement string runs about $36 directly from Govee and takes only minutes to install, we're happy to come out and do it, or any handyman can. Do note that after the warranty window, service calls and repairs may be billable.
As the homeowner, you're responsible for checking your HOA's requirements before we begin. If your HOA requires approval, just let us know, we'll send over our HOA request document, which has a 100% approval rate to date.
Standard, the same as San Ramon. Most Livermore homes have a usable fascia board, so the Standard install gives a straight run without adding hardware. Every home is different, so if you are not sure about yours, contact us and we will take a look first.
Heat is the main environmental stress on any outdoor LED. Using outdoor-rated product and, where it makes sense, an aluminum channel for shade is how we handle it.
